Basic Gist: Most famous former leader of the now dead Church of Miho who is also now dead. Was the most powerful hero character in the tC universe.
Physical Description Dark-haired man of light to medium build. Wears standard Mihoist garb of a black trenchcoat and shades.
Characterisation: Very cool laid back character with a penchant for mind games. Loves to look stylish and emphasizes style over substance in combat unless enraged. Friendly to allies, sarcastic to enemies, loving to his wife Yukiko. Basically your "cool guy" type of character.
Resources/Abilities/Powers: As the leader of the Church of Miho he had the technology, magic, and manpower of the most powerful faction of the time. This included the friendship and support of other powerful characters like Aleksander "Nightwalker" Kavinsky, Shadowdancer Duskstar, and his wife Yukiko. He also had support from allied factions and characters such as Derian Hatcheter of the Kimiko Army.
His own personal abilities included a high proficiency with firearms and a high level mastery of martial arts.
His most significant power and the power that won him the admiration/fear of many was his ability to wield the powers of the Necrowombicon. He had the greatest connection with Necrowombic power bestowed by Miho than any other Mihoist. There is also the factor of the long forgotten mixing with the Avatar of Bhaal that also lends strength to his Necrowombic power.
The Necrowombicon provided BGMaster with near endless magical energy and abilities. The powers that BGMaster could wield included but were not limited to: teleportation, energy blasts, alteration of reality, materialization of tools and weapons, enhanced physical constitution, enhanced strength, enhanced speed, and utilization of bullet time. With all of these powers at his disposal and little to no limitation in how often or how powerful he could make them, he was truely a force to be reckoned with.
History to Date: Little is known about BGMaster before The Great Fanboy War, the only bit of info revealed has been his initiation into the CoM. He apparently made an imprssion during the initiation ceremony and was revealed to have an extremely high ability to wield the powers fo the Necrowombicon.
His actions in The Great Fanboy War were minor at best. He did some fighting, went around with Tragic Bill, and ran away from Bob the Skarrj. His first recognizable actions began in The Church of Miho Bulletin. He began with some minor fighting in a "Quakeworld" of sorts before showing up in the real world. After a little bit of time he was possessed by Bhaal who sought him out due to his mastery of the Baldur's Gate games (?) and turned in the Slayer. After some fighting he was subdued and brought to Miho. Miho combined the power of the Avatar of Bhaal with her Necrowombic power in BGMaster's body which led to BGMaster becoming the powerhouse that made him a legend.
BGMaster then helped the others in rescuing Kimiko from VorpalBlade and Dom. During the course of which he fought with Dom and banished him (apparently temporarily) to the Realm of [Okashina Okashi], but not before Dom got off killing blow. BGMaster was raher content in the land of the dead as he got to spar with one of his heroes [Spike Spiegel]. He was brought back to life by Miho, however, when DietWaterCzar transformed into his Demon Form and Miho realized that the remaining heroes needed all the help they could get.
BGMaster was not a match for the transformed DietWaterCzar despite his increased power and DWC's reduced power. Fortunately, DWC was defeated by Pheadrus and all was well.
In the time between The Church of Miho Bulletin and A Normal Day in MegaTokyo BGMaster assumed the role of leadership from Tragic Bill as he was already the "Right Hand of Miho" and all that.
During the events of Normal Day, BGMaster met the CSX Yukiko while investigating the many disturbances caused by WolfDead. The CSX was a powerful android developed by Microsoft. So powerful, in fact, that she was easily able to defeat BGMaster. Getting his ass beat by a female android was apparently a fetish of his and he pursued her not only for heroic reasons but romantic as well.
As the events of the Day continued BGMaster met and apparently befriended the Pirogoeth follower Tanetris despite the apparent animosity between their idols. Additionally he got Yukiko to trust him and with the help of the Sony Agent _Quinn was able to remove the violent and volitile CSX code from her brain and transfer her to a less powerful body so that Microsoft and WolfDead had less reason to capture her.
However, as Yukiko and BGMaster got closer, WolfDead realized another thing about Yukiko that made her valuable. She was the perfect bait to lure BGMaster (and by extension the other heroes) to his Climactic Final Battle. And with the help of the (fake) traitor Aleksander "Nightwalker" Kavinsky, he was able to capture her and take her to the top of his Tower of Doom.
BG took the bait and went on a rampage to take on WolfDead and rescue Yukiko. Unfortunately for him , he was not a match for WolfDead and along with the other heroes was thrust into his own personal hell dimension. Fortunately for him he was sent there with the now forgotten character Karonake the Slayer who was apparently some super geriatric swordsman. With Karonake the Slayer's help, BG was able to escape his hell dimension, rescue Yukiko, and turn "true" WolfDead into a permanent regular poodle after he was defeated by AC.
Afterwards BG was present during the events of CoM : New Blood where he had a bout of amnesia and had lost Yukiko somehow. At some point he woke up went on a small demon killing spree and promptly disappeared.
BGMaster was absent from the tC universe for a long time, until The Miho Files where he suddenly returned to deal with Nightwalker who had apparently turned "traitor" again. The events of when he was absent was revaled in the interlude BGMaster Interlude which included his marriage to Yukiko among other things (that I can't remember right now).
After sometime BGMaster was ambushed by a new batch of Microsoft CSXs and Majestic Tweleve (a secret American Agency who made a deal with a former Microsoft employee) JC Denton-style nano-augs while he and Yukiko were trying to adopt a child. This was BGMaster's last stand however as neither he nor Yukiko left the ambush alive.
So as it stands BGMaster is dead and is never coming back.
He has made two appearances after his death though, during the alternate reality interlude Broken Barriers : BG vs. DWC and shortly after the destruction of the Church of Miho as a ghost playing mind games with Sabyr.
