Basic gist: Sci-fi Geek Extraordinaire. Rather skilled, but incredibly unconfident wizard.
Physical Description: Skinny man of average height and 30 years of age. Has a very long white beard to make him look more wizard like, though he probably did a glamour or polymorph spell to make it grow that long and get grey. Wears a long purple robe, but has decided to forego the pointy hat.
Characterization:
Billy is the ultimate Sci-fi geek. If you have an obscure piece of Sci-fi trivia he will know it.
Billy has severe confidence and security issues. He has the confidence to go into a battle, but is easily scared during the battle simply sealing himself off in a barrier. In rare cases he will fight well but that's usually because he wants to impress or emulate someone. that's part of his other problem in which he needs to attach himself to someone else no matter how they treat him. For instance, Billy could EASILY defend himself from DietWaterCzar but he doesn't because he feels he needs to validate himself to DietWaterCzar.
Also, as a former archeologist who specialized in magic, Billy has extensive knowledge of ancient magical arts.
Resources/Abilities/Powers: Billy knows a fair number of magical techniques that he can use to varying degrees of success. He specializes in barriers and transmogrification spells.
Billy's barriers can vary from simple bubbles to walls of crushing force to domes that can withstand a direct hit from an ICBM. In a battle Billy will can use his barriers offensively to shove, pin, and crush opponents. Mostly he will use them defensively and stay out of the way while using his other transmogrification power to attack.
Billy can use his transmogrification spells to alter any living being and some non living things into almost anything he wants. Most of the time he uses his power of small animals like rats, birds, and lizards. He changes them into powerful monsters of intelligence and immense power with the ability to make their powers reach demi-gods. The monsters are made completely loyal and follow Billy's any command. He treats them rather politely despite that though.
History to Date: Billy started out as a very unsucessful archeologist who specialized in ancient magic. He was well studied but someone else always beat him to the discovery. This gave him a lot of time to investigate his the discoveries though. Eventually he learned how to wield the magic he had studied for so long.
The first major event in his life came when he was studying a shrine in Sendai. He was approached by a strange man who discovered a mysterious tablet. The tablet depicted a young man and woman on one side, was perpertually covered and snow and had strange writing on the back side. Billy helped to decipher the "Warmth Tablet" which led him and his apparent partner to an island that through a strange set of events happened to have english as it's native language. After some investigation Billy and his partner discovered the Reality Altering Crystals. Billy couldn't figure out anything about the crystals until his partner discovered that he could make himself effectively omnipotent with them.
The stranger revealed himself as WolfDead and convinced Billy to join him in conquering the world or something. Billy was left in charge of the island as an Evil Overlord to mine the crystals and ship them to WolfDead. This was going fine until DietWaterCzar showed up. Billy tried to stop DietWaterCzar with monsters, troops, transporting him away and even having an undescribed climactic battle, but failed in the end. Billy ended up losing the island, losing the crystals, getting beat up by Erika, and being coerced into killing a copy of WolfDead.
Luckily (or unluckily) DietWaterCzar took Billy in and let Billy stay in his house in Troll Alley. Billy pretty much just hangs around DietWaterCzar a lot and gets beat up in the process.
