Basics

Name:Ito Masaru (assumed)

Build: 225 cm and 68 kg OR 5' 9" and 150lbs. Red eye with shades of other colors in the background. Has dark brown hair down to the base of his neck and is usually somewhat unkempt. Skin is bordering on pale because of lack of light exposure due to often nocturnal habits.

Languages: English, and a moderate amount of Japanese. Followed by Italian, and Chinese with a basic grasp of Spanish. Fluency is in that order.

Profession:

Former member of a tactical force unit known as T.H.E.M (Tactical Hazmat Emergency and Medical). Currently drifting through intelligence agencies and special forces units looking for a new home. Lieutenant rank.

Personality:Sociable as needed, and it is due to Masaru's new mission however is not as open as one might like due to his stained history and unusual and sometimes Machiavellian attitudes. He is not generally this way but tends to lean towards Murphy's law in what will happen to him as his luck has never been stellar. Not to mention he won't be exactly truthful as to what he actually does for a living. He speaks in a quiet and occasionally lilting tone that speaks of a good but definitely misdirected upbringing. He tends to use that voice as his mood changes and even speaks to himself at times in whatever language is not understood by those around him, his way of speaking freely without actually doing so. He is also quick to grasping the trigger but rarely pulling it after his experience with T.H.E.M taught him there was more to a situation than targets to shoot at.

Living Conditions: The place wherein LT. Ito Masaru resides is mentioned due to its unusual circumstance that it leaves him. He lives on Main Street a few blocks into The Hollows, the hive of vampiric activity, legal and illegal in the city.

Abilities

Weaponry: Trained highly in all forms of firearms from the new experimental types to the old soviet Attack Kalashnikovs but nowhere near equally proficient in all of them. Tends to favor marksmanship over brute force and knows some basic knife work and martial arts but not exactly a master of either.

Computers: After helping to rifle through many a mad scientists experimental data banks he has become fairly skilled in the use and build of the average computer with some minor programming skills.

Biotechnology Due to his experience with T.H.E.M and various research facilities he has become proficient in some forms of biotechnology, especially traps and security technology.

Natural:An artificial night vision is currently within his modified eyes after a successful US military experiment to change his eyes after an incident in a mission with T.H.E.M nearly blinded him. Apparently others were performed as well but either they were unsuccessful or were not noticeable or simply unusable at the moment is unknown to Masaru.

Weaknesses

Magic: Since most of his experience has been with genetic experimentation, doomsday weapons, and the undead, he has fairly little experience with magic. In fact, simple spells leave him rather confused as he tries unsuccessful to look for some sort of source other than the wielder. It is only barely acceptable in his mind that it exists at all.

Food: Loves Pocky with a the feeling of a minor obsession. Tends to always have a box on him and first had one during his only other trip to Japan on a T.H.E.M mission. Also, takes his exaggerated instinct for hunger over more important things at times.

Natural: The experimental procedure on his eyes left him with a permanent need for sunglasses as the experiment modeled his modified eyes off of a nocturnal animal that did not need daylight due to its night vision leaving Masaru with the feeling like he has twenty searchlights on his eyes without his sunglasses on during a sunny day. Possible others due to the experimental procedures but his subconscious keeps him from finding out as he knows he might just find something.

Others: He's not quite a master of subtlety yet and as a dual reconnaissance specialist and spy in training this is not a good trait though he is working on it. It usually becomes obvious what he is doing after a while if you ask the right questions.

Current Relations

Allies and Support Network:

Xxx Xxxx Xxxx- The shadowy oversight group watching over many US operations dealing with experimental and paranormal technology and beings.

T.H.E.M- Masaru's special operations division dealing mostly in damage control and decontamination of experimental sites that have been overrun or destroyed by things created within.

Nex Angelorum- Considered a necessary evil to Masaru for making progress in the city.

Michel Wheeler- US national sniper team member who has been one of the few friendly-ish faces to Masaru in the months he has been there. No confirmation on status of job offer with the military however.

Enemies of the State:

Ash- Has had her thrown out of one of her jobs because of a mix up related to a capture attempt. Seeking to bring her in as a target of opportunity and for experimentation.

Sareth- Escaped experiment formerly host to Saeko and wanted for capture by scientists in the Homunculus Project to see how this particular experiment succeeded.

Saeko- Re:Sareth plus Magical girlness.

Skorpion- Harassed the supply lines of this high ranking Largoist in a failed attempt to allay the arms shipment en route to the FGTL. Is seeking to capture for another research branch of the US military as a part of a super soldier program.

Arella- Captured by Masaru for use in a trap laid by Nex and Project Homunculus.

Casey- Considered a low priority target by the uniformed agent and is currently being watched by the lieutenant on his spare time at Erika Multinational.

History

Recent:

A former member of T.H.E.M under the Naval Special Ops division (Tactical Hazmat Emergency and Medical), Masaru is well versed in the strange and seemingly unimaginable after only a couple years in the military. T.H.E.M was a reconnaissance and assault team that was sent in to places that looked somewhere between a battlefield and a horror movie. Nine times out of ten essentially this meant that T.H.E.M was a group of �janitors with guns� as their members called it, cleaning up after nearly every madman�s experiment gone wrong that happened to be funded by the US military. However, it has been temporarily disbanded due to a severely high turnover rate because of stress and casualty rate involved with the job and also a coincidental decrease in individual mad scientist funding by the US government and more in-house activities. With Lieutenant Masaru out of a job and drifting between agencies he was sent on a mission in MegaTokyo.

Now he works for EM during the day and the US government during the night harassing factionists and attempting to reclaim US Government property.

The Story So Far...

[1] Masaru enters the stage.

[2] Masaru starts to go to work and gets to go to a lecture. Who said the military wasn't intellectually stimulating?

[4] Masaru leaves the lecture and goes to find out about his living arrangements... in The Hollows.

[5] The lieutenant decides he isn't to happy with the living arrangements and decides to go buy himself some new "toys" at Erika Multinational to spruce up the apartment with. Before he is able to arrive he finds Sareth and shadowing/stalking ensues.

[6] Masaru gets a job at Erika Multinational

[7] Home redecoration ala Portal

[8] Masaru heads to the EM end of year party and meets Casey

[9] Masaru steals some info on EM during the distractions of Fish's concert. But what exactly?

[10] Masaru tries and fails to avenge his Vespa but manages to grub up bits of information on targets from a stolen file.

[11] A lovely night of harassing Largoist supply convoys goes wrong and Masaru ends up fleeing. However, only after wreaking havoc via ice cream, small arms, and sewers.

[12] The lieutenant meets with Michel and does his best to try to convince the confused and conflicted sniper to join up.

[13] Masaru lays a trap to catch Ash but ends up only getting her fired. And not in the meaning of the word he'd hoped.

[14] Nex summons Masaru for a meeting where she tells him about the operation to bring in Sareth by the capture of Arella and Saeko.

[15] Masaru gets his evil on and captures Arella via trickery and mindbreaking weapons.
