Detailed Summary

New Players, Old Players

Thomas Cooper (Alledarus) briefly made an appearance as a vampire character, but then dropped out of the game, as new characters often do. We should put leashes on them or something. Westly reappears for, like, a post, promises he's playing for real now, honest, and then disappears again. He needs a leash too. Kyuji upgrades his car. DarkTan has a street race with a legendary automobile racing demon, and gets into a barfight with him at the end of the race. Wolfboy returns, powerlevels, fights demons. Toshiro Yuki is introduced. He's a magical boy Largoist who runs a junkyard surrounded by a wall of fire. Kyuji comes to the junkyard after an incident with the police. Toshiro gets a remote vehicle to the main gate at Tokyo Tower and begins broadcasting footage. Nicholas is interrupted from moping to go arrest Kyuji. He convinces Kyuji to come quietly. Toshiro joins up with Viorica fighting demons. Instead of posting bail like a sane person, Kyuji breaks out of jail. Toshiro's magical sensitivity gets overloaded and his 'bots take him to the UFL. Myxthol returns with his character Trilonias and some knockoff transformers. I mean golems. Toshiro's Pirovision sister Mizuko falls in with Aneko, who is searching for Mokushi. Viorica joins them.

Ninjas

Sabin, the head of N1NJ4, remains incapacitated by the theft of his sword. There are other NPC N1NJ4 about, but Sabin-author hasn't been playing them, so they haven't done anything. ISS picks him up in a helecopter. Sabin releases some energy, saving the helecopters from demons. They land with him and put him in an underground holding facility.

World's Weirdest Rescue Party

Recently re-angelfied, Esha'shama'im buys EM armor to use for vestments, and goes looking for the sword with Ash's soul in it. Unfortunately, his penance prevents him from obtaining said sword, but he does end up giving Saeko a bunch of useful plot information. Then he meets Westly, who trades quests-- Westly to seek the sword (except then he stopped playing again), Shama to defend the LDG.

Meanwhile, Power Ranger Knockoff Al (Erden's new character), is intercepted by talking lion Firo (Erden's other new character), who is looking for the mysteriously missing Arella. They find Shama and recruit him. At the OCSB they recruit Bune and nearly recruit Ameryll. It's like a PC katamari. Apparently Shama and Bune were demon buddies.

To everyone's annoyance, Arella is fine. However, she's concerned about Ash. Manipulated by Mokushi manipulating Arella, Shama forgets he's supposed to stay away from Ash, and abandons everyone to go look for her. Jerk. Firo eventually catches up. Shama is looking for Skorpion, who might know where Ash is.

World's Second Weirdest Rescue Party

Lucius meets up with Con at a restaurant, and they fight off a suitor. Con knocks him out for being an ecchi baka, and drags him to the UFL to recover. Michel picks him up, and they embark on a mission to rescue Arella. They have a long trail to follow. They find Mokushi's normal office and home address, but not the actual demon. They run across Tanshin, who is omnomming darkness from Saeko's feathers, and all procede to the UFL. They drop Tanshin off with Mahou and then intercept Shama and Firo not far from the UFL. They finally learn where Arella is, and head back, picking up Firo to go with them.

Betrayal's a Tricky Business

As you may remember, last thread Mahou gave Ash's true name to Mokushi as part of a plot to manipulate Ash towards Mihoism. However, Ash's adoptive mom, Aneko, is fscking scary. Mahou, scared of Aneko, as we all should be, seeks help from Mokushi. Any port in a storm, right? Mokushi suggests that Ash can break the contract that binds her by killing her rescuer. Mahou BAMFs over to be Ash's conscience to try to make that happen. Meanwhile, Theresa has told Ash to jump Sareth to get her wand back, to make her a more effective 3vil minion. This works, but Theresa gets annoyed at having to keep an unwilling slave. She tells Ash to kill Sareth to free herself (though the idea initially comes from Mahou). Ash kills Sareth. Ash gets upset. Theresa realizes the plan didn't go as planned, and makes herself scarce because her author's too busy to keep writing.

Ash calls for help, and Mahou realizes that help is what she needs too. Anaryn shows up, and resurrects Sareth, while seeming to die herself on the spot, but then she noms on Nicholas and is all better, and he's the hurt one. Maybe if we spread the damage out among enough PCs, they'll all pull through.

Sareth comes to Mahou, reveals he knows Ash's true name, and asks if Mahou can get the power to summon Ash back, thus freeing her from Mokushi. Saeko finds Mahou and emo-bombs her for Massive Damage. Mahou retreats to Mokushi's office to recover. Then she sells her soul to him. dun dun DUNNN! In exchange for 24 years of demonic protection and Saeko liking her again. Then she also sells some kind of residue on her person to Tallic in exchange for necromantic protection for herself and Ash.

Lightsider realizes what Mahou did.

A Finger in Every Cookie Jar

Mokushi's doing a lot of bad things. First of all, he's using VR technology to reply for Arella how evil all of the people she cares about are, except for Ash, about whom it was already obvious ;-). Also, when Ash calls an airstrike on him, he reveals that he has Arella. However, the location Ash ordered an airstrike on turns out to be a false lead anyway. Mokushi also gets a contract with EM to outfit the demons with advanced weaponry and military advisors.

Saeko arrives and confronts Mokushi over his role in Ash's abduction, having been tipped off by Sithicus. Mokushi passes the blame off to Mahou for orchestrating the whole thing, using Saeko's inability to assess the larger situation against her.

ISS Does Stuff

Rapierman wanders around the city. ISS catches Toshiro's signal, and make contact. They buy shatter missile tech. Rapierman ends up with Fianna, an overpowered werewolf druid. Then she leaves. Rapierman shuts down a summoning circle. Rapierman picks up Kyuji. World's fastest trial, and he's sentenced to work for Rapierman as community service. They find the EM weaponry in the demons' hands.

People do Other Stuff

James Coffin looks up Ash's background, finds out about Aneko's existence. He fights his way over to FGTL HQ, picking up Karin when he gets there. They get in the choppah! They fight demons and DARPA thugs while looking for Saeko. Eventually, Jubai gets bored and stops posting for a while. Then he shoots James back into the game with a cannon.

Tanshin is killed by demons, and recovers by omnomming a bunch of innocent civilians. Mahou finds him and offers him shelter at the LDG manor.

The Deeeeeemons and other Villainy

In this thread, they appear in much larger numbers than last thread. Vas'tion begins shelling faction HQs with hellfire, which doesn't actually matter at all because they are either shielded, or can regenerate. Demons come out of the subways to attack FGTL HQ directly, beginning a larger battle. Saeko blows up the FGTL's fuel supplies to kill the demon bird swarm. Sithicus challenges her, and reveals that Mokushi set her up. Saeko retreats. At Tokyo Tower, the Largoists, lacking PCs to help them, are slowly getting overrun. Also the demons use cardboard cutouts to change the appearance of the city's road grid. EM contractors working for the demons demolish FGTL HQ with no casualties on either side through a ruse and hot chicks.

Tallic briefly captures Ash, but Ash outwits him. Also, Tallic's mom is introduced. Mokushi reassigns Ash to work for Vas'tion. Vas'tion being the demon that killed Sabin a while ago, and before that, was imprisoned inside Sabin. However, on her way to serve him, Ash is intercepted by Tallic's mother! They have a brief battle, where Ash's wand is destroyed, and they are both turned into stick figures. Rapierman sneaks into hell with some demons after a chance comment from Ash that there are portals everywhere. He finds out that the demons are harvest 'god dust' from people who have been resurrected, for use in a plan to storm heaven. Dun dun dunnnn! Though he doesn't know it, this is also what Tallic and his mom are after.

The demons destroy TPCD HQ, which is totally unnecessary and gets the police against them. Demons are stupid. Also, the sun won't rise.

Tortuously Complicated Romantic Plots Are So Embarrassing

Nicholas admits he's in love with Anaryn, which is SO EMBARRASSING! Anaryn can't admit the same back because that would also be SO EMBARRASSING! Buffy the Vampire Slayer is in town. Nicholas can't admit to her that Anaryn... had her way with him... because that would be SO EMBARRASSING! Also Buffy would kill Anaryn. Twice. Bune gives Nicholas bad romantic advice. Anaryn's ex shows up and taunts Anaryn. Wait, didn't we kill him last story arc? After Anaryn noms on Nicholas, they both end up at the UFL, where domestic violence questionaires are SO EMBARRASSING!

Buffy hears that Anaryn nommed Nicholas for realz this time, and goes to stake her, but Toshiro intervenes. Then Vas'tion starts bombarding the hospital with hellfire. Buffy leaves to go defenestrate some demons, because the word defenestrate is awesome enough to merit two entries in the thread summary. Three. Defenestrate. Anyway... Anaryn heavily implies that she's also in love with Nicholas but is too EMBARRASSED to admit it. Okay, I've beaten this joke to death now. Gonna go bury it in the back yard.

Meanwhile at the UFL Hospital

Towards the end of the thread everyone in the univarse moved towards the UFL hospital for no discernible reason. Well, Toshiro, Anaryn, and Nicholas are all injured, Ash is a stick figure, Tallic and his mom were after Ash, Vas'tion was manipulated by Ash. Sayuri and Saeko are looking for Mahou.... but I can't speak for the rest of 'em. Andrew and Skorp bust over to the entrance of the UFL with the surviving Largoist forces from the party, and barricade the entrance.

Anyway, Toshiro goes into full magical boy mode after an over-exposure to sad Mahou. Wolfboy and Vas'tion fight. They're still fighting by end of thread. Ash goes in and disables Lightsider by using his famed kawaii sensitivity against him. Rei vows revenge, but Toshiro and Mizuki arrive, and in the ensuing chase scene, the un-stickified Ash gives them all the slip. Rapierman crashes a car into the UFL to deliver an NPC he rescued from demons. Ash gets grabbed by spiders, and then rescued by Wolfboy, who doesn't realize she's still working for the baddies.
