Project Element

Project element was an experiment aimed at equipping ATC soldiers with Shadow-based powers.

Little else is known, but may be revealed over time.

A document has recently been uncovered by a hacking session:

> Shadow essence from mysterious benefactor tested today. A great deal is different with this batch.

> Firstly, rather than feeding off of raw energy, this batch seems to be able to generate energy

> A breakthrough. The latest batch doesn't seem to be able to feed off ambient shadows, but

> whenever something near them dies, they grow in strength.

> I may be a bit of a romantic fool, but I think I know what goes on here. The new shadow

> essences from our benefactors absorb all kinds of shadow for sustenance -- physical, spiritual,

> and emotional. In-depth tests reveal that subjects of sufficient experience in the latest

> batch have learned to absorb ambient shadows, and when forced to fight each other, the loser

> would always be tortured. During this torture, the winner would grow in strength as though

> feeding off of the pain of others.
