Second Chance Salvage and Junkyard
From TCWiki
Found in a lot the area of four city blocks, the Second Change Salvage and Junkyard is a "high risk item" junkyard where materials left behind by combat are disposed of. These are typically materials such as vehicles, aircraft, pieces of buildings, appliances, explosives, weapons, ammunition, chemicals, mecha parts, and more. The types of chemicals accepted are limited, however. It is owned and operated by Yuki Toshiro and serves as his base of operations as well as his home.
Below the site is a massive network of gas and water lines, as well as electrical cable and conduit, buried far below the site, below even the sewer system. There is also a sewer system access and an adjoining subterranean bunker.
Up above is the junkyard itself; which consists of the F1R3W4LL, the Car Chucker crane/radio tower, a vehicle turn around/ drop off point for large trucks, a large driveway, and multiple buildings on the site. Weapon cashes, wooden stakes, and first aid kits geared toward fighting the z0mb13 hordes which can be found across the site, in well hidden areas.
It should be noted that a box resting on a pipe sticking out of the ground connects to an intercom system, acting as the doorbell when the F1R3W4LL is up. it also has a glass panel in the box with instructions to break in case of Zombie attack. Inside is a chainsaw with a GPS locator, for return after emergency zombie limb slicing is complete.
Main Building
The main building consists of a built-on garage where Toshiro parks his personal vehicles, as well as guest parking. The entrance to the main building, which is to the left when looking at the garage, is guarded by an Ice Cannon and a hidden machine as well as and a pair of vending machines with built in weapons systems. Since the weapons are concealed and hot swappable, no one can ever be sure what offensive capabilities they have on any given day. It is really up to Toshiro's whims what their weapons happen to be. However, one is always stocked with Jolt Cola; and the other is stocked with computer parts, tools, anti-static wrist straps, and sometimes ammunition from the junkyard. It can contain anything really, tends to have reasonable prices, and its contents change from day to day.
Inside the building is a hallway with another Ice Cannon/Machine Gun system. The only rooms in this doorway that are defined are the third door on the right, which is Toshiro's main workroom and the Armory which is the fourth door on the right. Lining the walls of the workroom are work benches built above item and tool bins, with various wall outlets and electronic lab tools on shelves above. In the center of the room are multiple terminals connected to the internal LAN, and a few computers connected to the outside internet Each computer has removable hard drives, a switch to kill the network connection, and a set of game controller and joystick inputs for both gaming and other uses.
The Armory contains not only weapons and ammo; but plastic explosives, Nezumi weapons and ammunition components which are stated as "combat grade", containers and duffel bags for carrying the components, and all manner of other things. The room is very heavily shielded and armored, to prevent an explosion from inside from harming the rest of the building.
Hot Lab
The Hot Lab is the chemical storage and treatment facility, as well as where the more dangerous experiments are held. Partially underground and accessed by a ramp, the various gas and chemical storage tanks are kept here, and it has heavy shielding and ventilation. All we have currently seen other than that is that it is large enough to hold and repair multiple vehicles.
