Time Quake Part 3 of 3…Maybe

SAF Squad

Nix and Dreagos were on the 13th floor looking at the computer Dreagos had hacked earlier, “All the prisoners are on the 12th floor then?” Nix asked.

“Yep,” Dreagos replied, “And somehow that is four floors below us when we’re on here 13th floor.” He pointed to the 11th floor, where Shadowdancer, Yuki, and Gorion were down two floors, “And here’s the 12th floor, two below the 11th!” Dreagos again pointed at the screen.

“Well this is M$,” Nix replied, then pointed to the screen, “Hey! What’s that?”

There was flashing red box that said “!ALERT!” on it. Dreagos clicked on it and a message appeared. It read:

“!ALERT! Unauthorized access had been obtained to network resources! Unauthorized access to files, ‘DarkTan, Canto Casino Owner, 2003.mpeg’, ‘Snow, CGCI Operative, 2003.mpeg’ has been obtained! Root directory O:\\Alpha\\M$\\ ShareDrive\ Shared Docs\ Assassinations has been compromised! !ALERT!”

Dreagos read aloud the warning, and then clicked on the link for the directory mentioned, “Wonder what I’ll find,” He said to Nix. As the page loaded he saw the same files that DarkTan had seen, only Dreagos eyes were drawn to the file that was titled, “Sonada, MTCD/SAF, 2010.mpeg.” Dreagos opened the video file.

The video showed a train coming down a tunnel, the white title, location, date, and time headings identified it as the Megatokyo Subway Security video. It was taken in the Downtown MT Metro Line only an hour ago. You could see two figures fighting on the front of the subway train. The camera abruptly changed to show the same two figures riding their train in to a brick wall. The camera changed again, this time to a news crew, “The only occupants off the tram were Inspector Sonada, formally of the Megatokyo Cataclysm Division and what can only be described as his unknown twin brother. More at eleven.”

“BLEEP!!” Dreagos yelled a black box bearing the word “”Oops!” was over his mouth.

“What was that?” Nix asked.

“I dunno, guess I’m being censored,” Dreagos said as he tossed away the box, “How should we tell Yuki?”

“Over the phone, from Russia?” Nix replied.

“You’re not helping.” …

KA Squad

Kimiko and her group had wandered for quite some time down a long hallway. Finally the saw a light at the end, “I hope this isn’t the light at the end of the tunnel,” one of the KA soldiers said.

“Don’t even joke like that,” Kimiko told him. The group continued down the hallway, entering the room in a few short moments. It was pitch black except for three items on pedestals, which were connected to cables that ran somewhere in the darkness. Kimiko motioned for her men to stay behind as she walked up to the first thing.

Lying on the pedestal was a book, bound in evil looking leather with metal clasps on the corners and a grinning, purple wombat on the cover. “The Necrowobicon,” Kimiko whispered. Now this book was no ordinary book, it was the very center of the former main character Miho Tohya’s power and the source of power for her followers. Kimiko took out a knife and began to carefully sever the cables that were draining manna from the arcane volume. After severing the last cable the book floated off its pedestal and flew out of the room, searching for its master.

Kimiko then walked over to the next pedestal; it contained a book in similar appearance as the Necrowobicon, but instead of a wombat on the cover, there was a picture of a certain Swedish Chef. His name was known to no mortal other than himself, not even Jim Henson knew of it or what this chef had done. His name was von Sudden and his book contained the recipe for every hazardous and un-edible food item known to man. He called it the Unaussprechlichen Kochen, Unspeakable Cooks for those of you who don’t sprechen the Deutsch. Kimiko severed the cords quickly, the very presence of the book made her ill. This book, like the other, floated off its pedestal and flew out of the room.

Kimiko made her way to the final pedestal. The pedestal held a red, three foot long rod with a wooden bird head on one end. It had a great resemblance to the rod belonging to Nikki in Card Captor Sakura. It was in fact of the same power as well, giving the user the ability to transform themselves into a Magical Girl and thus have the powers that come with it. Kimiko again cut the cords and again the item flew out of the room. Who would receive the last two was anyone’s guess.

Durden had taken an elevator to the 17th floor after leaving the rest of the group and after walking down four hallways that looked the same, things were getting boring. “Man, I wish I had someone to talk to,” he muttered, then brightened up, “Oh yeah!” he yelled. Durden took his Me-Sword in both hands and suddenly there was two of him. Hey D2!” Durden yelled.

“Huh?” D2 asked. When Durden split, he forgot about the ears, D2 had none.

“HEY D2!” Durden yelled even louder, he wasn’t the quickest to notice the little things like missing body parts.

“Huh?” D2 said again.

“HEY D2!!” Durden yelled louder still.

“Huh?”

“ HEY D2!”

“Huh?”

“I said…Oops! Fergot the ears,” Durden pulled off one of his ears, which grew back, and handed it to D2. D2 held the ear next to his head and the thing jumped on him, forming two ears.

“Ok, now I can hear you,” D2 replied.

“Sweet! Now let’s get going,” Durden said. He and…well…himself continued down the hallway, stopping every so often to look inside rooms, “so did you hear that Daredevil 6 came out on DVD?”

“Does is still suck like the last 5?” D2 asked.

“Well, yeah but that’s beside the point,” Durden asked, “Now he’s like 80 and still kickin’ butt!”

“Isn’t Ben Affleck only like 40?” D2 asked.

Silence.

“Hey look! A lab!” Durden yelled changing the subject. The two went inside to look around. What they saw were several large, green tubes filled with fog. Durden could see in one of them and he saw what looked like Kimiko. He shapeshifted his head to now have a headset on it, “Hey Kimiko!” He yelled through it.

“What?” Came the voice of Kimiko.

“I found you in a tube, sorta,” Durden replied, “Didn’t Shadow say something about M$ using clones?”

“Kill it now!” Kimiko yelled.

“Ok but there’s a whole lotta clones in here,” Durden said.

“Kill them all and nuke the lab,” Kimiko ordered the shape shifter.

“You heard the lady,” Durden said, smiling, “Lets’ rock and roll!”

The two grasped their Me-Swords, “What should we use?” D2 asked.

“I dunno,” Durden replied then he thought for a second, “how ‘bout everything!”

“Sw33t!” D2 yelled as the two began to transform their swords into two huge guns. When they were finished they each held a combination flak cannon, grenade launcher, machine gun, rocket launcher, tactical nuclear warhead, knife thrower, crossbow, heat seeking missiles, anti aircraft missiles, remote mines, forty-two pounds of C4, Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, evil little white rabbit, reeeal big sword, flame thrower, sniper rifle, napalm, dry ice bomb, and termite launcher. They stood back to back to each other and fired their absurdly large weapons at the clone’s tubes.

KA-BOOM!

The room, the hallway, the floor, and the pretty much the rest of the complex from that point up had been slightly renovated. But think of the plus side, now the 17th floor had a sunroof! Durden and D2 were now 10 mini versions of Durden. They ran to the elevator to get to Kimiko and tell her what happened. “Stop pushing!” “Me first!” “Why did you push all the buttons?” “’Cause I can!” Oh yeah?” “Hey we’ll all beat you if we’re late!”

Who ever met up with them was really going to need therapy.

SAF Squad

Nix and Dreagos were walking back to the others when they walked past a classroom. The door had a sign that said “Mathematics: Extremely Large Quantities.” There was an equation on the chalk board, “2 + 2 = 5.”

“How’s that?” Nix asked pointing at the board.

“Extremely large quantities of two,” Dreagos replied. Nix nodded his head and the two continued on their way. A few short minutes they had arrived at the room where Yuki and the others were waiting. “Ummm…Yuki…uhhh.”

“Spit it out!” Yuki yelled.

“Well, I’m trying,” Dreagos replied, “But Yuki this is hard, you father is dead.”

Yuki just stood there, and then she cried. Tears came gushing out of her eyes like a fire hose. “How did that happen,” Shadowdancer asked Gorion.

“Well,” Gorion began, “This is a prime example of the Laws of Anime at work. One in particular, which is the Law of Hydrostatic Emission. Our eyes have a potentially unlimited supply of tears that can be shot out at very high pressure during times of sorrow.”

“Hmm, I never knew that,” Shadowdancer replied, and she swished her foot around in the tears, they had come up to her ankle.

10 Minutes Later…

Maybe we should make her stop?” Nix asked.

“Yes, I agree,” Dreagos replied. They were all standing in tears up to their necks and Yuki wasn’t showing any sight of stopping. The four tried various ways to comfort the girl but she just kept crying.

Half an hour later…

“This isn’t working!” Shadowdancer yelled as Dreagos.

“Let’s just leave her!” Gorion yelled as he began to swim away.

“I agree!” Dreagos yelled with Nix vigorously nodding his head.

The four heroes swam to where they could climb up into the next floor and find an elevator. After getting up and drying off, using a spell by Shadowdancer, they went down the hall to where they could find an elevator and head down to the 12th floor.

M$ Cell

“Knock, knock, knock.”

There had been a slight knocking on her cell door for the past ten minutes, she didn’t care; it was probably just some jerk of a guard trying to tick her off and give him a excuse to come in a slap her around. She looked in a crack mirror and saw her reflection. Nine years in that lightless hole had made her even whiter than she was before. Her black shirt and skirt where torn and dingy, the purple striped leggings she wore had lost their elastic when she tried to break out by strangling a guard with them, what her black shoes were covered in only God knew, her black hair tangled, it’s ribbons gone; she was the Miho cosplayer known only as Tohya and highest ranking member of the Church of Miho still alive. The knocking was getting on her nerves.

Tohya got up and opened the slit that guards slid her “food” through. She was immediately knocked over by a flying book, which landed on the table in the middle of the cell. Tohya got up a walked over to the table. She looked down at the book and gasped. “The ‘Wombicon,” She whispered, stretching her hand toward it. It began to glow with a purple aura, which stretched to envelop her when her hand came in contact with it. She could feel the power that had once been hers return to her. She was now the Right Hand of Miho and she was going to show M$ what she could do.

A small incantation of a spell and she would be ready. Breaking out of a prison was not easily done in a skirt and with dirty hair. She muttered the words and felt sand fall from all around her, she was now wearing a black t-shirt bearing the words” 3v!l M!n!0n” in purple letters, black jeans, black boots with purple laces and her hair was cut, brushed, and filled with purple ribbons. A lemony fresh scent hung around her.

She walked up to and placed her hand on the door and muttered something. The door suddenly flew off its hinges and slammed against the wall. Several guards came running around the corner and from the down the opposite hallway. Tohya ran up to one and punched him in the throat, grabbing his 9mm hand gun as he fell. She emptied the clip into him and his friends and took two more guns and fired them at the guards whpo were coming around the corner. The Law of Inverse Accuracy stated that as long as the “dumb bad guys” out numbered the “good guys,” the “bad guy’s” bullets would hit more of their own than would actually hit the “good guys.” This of course was the case and the M$ soldiers soon decimated their own ranks. Tohya finished off the rest and began to look inside the other cells.

“Psst! Nights!” The cosplaying Mihoist said to her comrade. His name was Aleksandr Kavinsky, a.k.a. Nightwalker, Dark Templar of the Church of Miho and former Right Hand of Miho. He had to take leave due to many injuries in the war against M$ and hand it over his position to his chosen successor, Tohya. She looked at him through the eye hole, he was wearing his trademark trench coat; now tattered and ruined. His cybernetic hand was dirty and dented, along with his newer cybernetic leg. His pants were full of holes and tinted green from mold and his hair was matted and dingy.

Tohya opened the cell door and chanted the same spell that had cleaned her up, Nightwalker’s tattered clothes became like new and his cybernetic limbs were restored to their full power and usefulness. Tohya extend her hand with the Necrowombicon to him, he touched the book and immediately felt his power return to him. His latent ability to summon any weapons, real or otherwise, had also returned, he held out his hands and summoned two ASMD Shock Rifles. “Ready?” Nightwalker asked Tohya.

“Yes,” She said with a cold glare in her eyes as they exited the cell block, “It ends now.”

Snow vs. Ulidam

“Aw you gotta be kiddin’ me,” Snow said to the clone/evil evil evil thing. “Didn’t I beat you once already?” he asked his opponent.

“Brother, surely you jest!” Ulidam replied through the clone’s body, “If I live and breath, you have not caused my defeat. Only when thou hast ended mine life will I be over come.”

“What?” Snow asked and as soon as the words were put of his mouth he could feel a presence come to him, Ilihor? he thought.

Yes, young one, the spirit of Ilihor, Ulidam’s brother, replied, I have come to loan my strength to you once again. That is, if you wish to have it.

Of course, Snow replied.

Then you shall have it. In your moment of need, my power will aid you in the final defeat of my brother, Ilihor replied and Snow found him self facing Ulidam once again. Snow drew the two rune swords that bore the same name as the brother who wielded it; the blade called Ulidam in his right and the one called Ilihor in his left. “Let’s get this over with, I ain’t got all day.”

“But of course,” Ulidam replied as he drew two blades of the same design as Snow’s; the only difference was that the clones blades were black with purple runes and an aura of evil could be felt coming from them. “These are Ilidam and Ulihor. After I possessed your clone, I taught M$ to make these blades. Their power is even greater than you can comprehend. But you didn’t come for a lesson in metallurgy, let us duel!” The clone leapt at Snow with both blades out stretched.

“What ever you say!” Snow yelled as he dropped down to the floor and kicked Ulidam in the stomach, sending him flying across the room, “But you might want to work on that charge.”

“You would dare to fight dishonorably?!” Ulidam yelled, “Fight like a man! Not like the dog you truly are!” He spat that last one.

“Dog, eh?” Snow asked him, “Fine then, I will fight with the honor that is of the battlefield.” Snow drew his MP5 and shot the clone in the knee cap, “Courtesy of the 21st century’s definition of honor. Don’t get too choked up.” Snow re holstered the gun.

“What devilry is this?!” Ulidam screamed as he held the bloodied .50 caliber round in his hand, “You would dare bring the foul magiks in to this battle? Then so be it!!” With that final scream, Ulidam began to glow. A black mist seeped in to the room, coming through the doors, walls, ceiling, floor, anything that was there. The fog, for that is what it had become, began to swirl around Ulidam, creating an aura of black for form around him. In a soundless burst of pure power, Ulidam unleashed a shock wave that cracked the walls and knocked Snow to the ground.

As Snow lay there, he could feel Ilihor’s power coming to him, Now is your need, the spirit said. Snow could feel the power inside of him. It welled up until there was no more room for the power; it began to seek escape from Snow. Sparks began to fly off his body, followed by arcs of electricity in a blatant rip off of Dragon Ball Z; the build up of power became so great between the two that the lights in the room exploded and the wires began to shower down sparks and arc to other lights. Snow was then consumed in a white aura, his body emanating pure energy. Snow slammed his hands against the ground, sending his body flying up to a standing position. He and Ulidam rushed each other.

They moved so fast that they would be nothing more than a blur and a breeze to any one else. They attacked each other with such speed, that to them the sparks and such were moving at slow motion. The thunderous clang of their swords seemed to be continuous to an observer. One always with the upper hand, then losing it; the other much in the same way.

Snow saw an opening to possibly end the fight and stab at the clone chest and a slash at his head at the same time. But hit air. Time went back to normal and Snow was left staring at thin air like an idiot. “Surprise!” Ulidam yelled as he suddenly appeared and kicked Snow in to a wall, leaving a Snow-shaped crater in said wall. Snow began to let out several swear words and cursed the clone. “Foolish words for a foolish warrior,” Ulidam said as he strode over to Snow.

“Only the fool gloats before the battle is won!” Snow said as he leapt at Ulidam, who simply kicked him back in to the wall; leaving another crater over the first one. As Snow fell to the ground, Ulidam stepped away and turned his back to Snow. “You would turn your back to me!?” Snow yelled enraged that Ulidam plainly thought himself to be Snow’s superior, “Never turn from ME!” Snow threw the blade called Ilihor at the possessed clone.

“I need not face you to defeat you,” Ulidam replied as he turned around and caught the blade by the handle, “But mayhap you should hold thy weapons with a stronger hand.” Ulidam threw the blade back at Snow, who unsuccessfully tried to dodge the sword. The runic blade cut in to his side and passed though his side and imbedded it self in to the wall behind him.

“Now that hurt,” Snow said simply as he fell to his knees. Ulidam walked up to the fallen warrior and placed his sword near Snow’s throat and prepared for the blow that would sever Snow’s head from his neck. Suddenly Snow felt something in his hand, he and Ulidam turned to look at it at the same time, both with expressions of horror on their faces. Ulidam’s because Snow had used that weapon of unspeakable power once before and on Snow because he dreaded the use of it again.

Flash Back

Snow was backed in to a corner, DarkTan under the power and command of Ulidam was handing him a severe beating. DarkTan/Ulidam kicked him again and sent him in to another room; it was filled with confiscated weapons that the MTCD had taken from their prisoners. Their battle was taking place in the mech hanger where the Patalabors were kept, and Snow was going to head back out their as soon as he could grab another weapon. He reached for something that felt like a barrel of a gun, took it then left.

As he re-entered the hangar a blast from one the mech’s negative energy tazers hit the wall behind him, DarkTan/Ulidam had jumped into one of the mechs and was now attacking Snow with it. Another blast from the tazer was headed right at Snow, he did the only thing he could think of: raise what he thought was a gun and try to block the blow. As he did just that, Snow realized he wasn’t holding a gun, but a Magical Girl Staff; the implications of this are too horrible to mention.

The staff did as Snow planned, the tazer was blocked. But there was something Snow didn’t expect, and that was, that the power in that staff, which was naturally meant for a girl, would transform Snow, “Holy-“

End Flash Back

Snow shoock his head to try to clear the image, but noticed his neon blue hair was down around his face in an odd way, “Oh no.” Snow was a Magical Girl; he was wearing a white blouse with a blue scarf around his neck and a blue skirt with a white stripe around the bottom hem, which was well above his…err her, knees. Snow stood there looking very much like Sailor Mercury and holding a staff that bore a winged duck head looking ornament on the top, which looked quite a bit like Nikki’s from Card Captor Sakura. Ulidam began to laugh. “You will pay enemy of all that is good and cuddly!” Snow yelled, even his voice sounded like Sailor Mercury’s. Ulidam laughed some more.

“Magical fuku attack!” Snow yelled and swung his/her staff around. This caused several rainbow colored skirts to fly at Ulidam. His laughter immediately changed to fear as he tried to dodge the second most powerful Magical Girl Attack. He was unsuccessful however; the magical items of light exploded on contact with his body and sent him flying in to a wall. “Wave of Happiness!” Snow yelled; and a wave of pure magic power slammed in to Ulidam, who then slumped to the floor. Snow threw away the staff and he transformed back in to his normal self.

“You…YOU WILL PAY!” Ulidam screamed as he slashed at Snow with both blades. Snow locked his own blades into the hand guards of Ulidam’s swords and jumped up, planting his feet on the clone’s chest and kicked. The force of Snow holding the sword while jumping of his chest caused Ulidam to loose both the blades and fall to the ground, leaving a large bloody smear on the ground where he landed. Snow black flipped and landed on his feet, his aura leaving him. He would no longer need the power of Ilihor to aide him.

Snow walked up to the fallen Ulidam, “You should have stayed gone the last time I beat you, now you die,” Snow held the blade named Ulidam at the former owner’s throat.

“This death…is not…the end,” Ulidam gasped, “I have taken…the other…I will still defeat you.”

“Not in this body you won’t,” Snow said as he plunged the blade in to the clone’s throat. “An ironic end, don’t ya think? Killed with your own blade.” Snow wiped the two swords off on the clothing of the clone and re-sheathed them, “I wonder who the other is…DarkTan!” Snow began to command the HUD on his amour to display DarkTan’s coordinates, using his comm-link as a homing beacon. A triangle popped up and then disappeared; it then popped up again and began to jump around the screen, “He must already be there!” Snow yelled and ran out the room and to the room where DarkTan was fighting Ulidam. After about 10 minutes Snow arrived at the room and kicked open the door. In front of him stood two half-vampires with blue hai, holding a black sword with red runes at each other’s throat and pointing a sawed off shotgun at each others head.

“Shoot him!” they both yelled, then “Not me, him!”

“Give me a break,” Snow said.

DarkTan vs. Ulidam: Prior to Snow’s Entrance

“Hello brother!” Ulidam said through the body of DarkTan’s clone. DarkTan didn’t even answer, he drew his shotgun and began to fire. Ulidam likewise began the same process, drawing a shotgun of his own and firing back at DarkTan.

DarkTan’s clone was the first and last perfect clone made by M$. The clone had the same memories, skills, speech patterns, weapons preference, DarkTan carried two Colt .45s instead of the Enforcers, and will power of the real DarkTan. The strong will affected him when Ulidam tried to take possession of him; that wandering spirit of malice could not conquer the personality of the clone and thus it influenced Ulidam’s speech and completely replaced his combat skills in that body.

DarkTan took a minute to take in his surroundings; they were battling in side a room with steel walls, he was firing a shot gun, the pellets were bouncing around, he should probably switch to the Enforcers just as Ulidam was drawing the same conclusion and switching to his .45s. DarkTan switched to his Enforcers faster than Ulidam could get his .45s and fired ten quick shots at the clone. Bullet time began to go in to effect and in a bad rip off from the Matrix the clone dodged the bullets in the same fashion as Neo in his first encounter with Agent Smith.

Ulidam jumped up and began to fire his weapons at DarkTan, who took off running, leaving the bullets to impact the steel walls. And speaking of the walls; they were not as they seemed at first, DarkTan and Ulidam were dueling in an explosive munitions storage room. Another round of fire from them had several spots on the wall erupt into flames and sent steel shrapnel at the combatants. DarkTan and Ulidam both dropped their guns at the sight of this and drew their rune blades. DarkTan drew Haldarn and Haldine while Ulidam drew Arcole and Arstith and was the first to attack.

At first the two went for pure melee combat; thrusting, parrying, slashing, and what not. Trading blow for blow and neither getting the upper hand, it seemed that they were complete equals in the use of their blades. The two backed away from each other and began to walk around in a circle, sizing each other up and then with a yell released the power of their swords. DarkTan used his to create a swirling jet of flame, while Ulidam caused an electric wave of water to come flying at DarkTan. The two dodged each other’s attacks, which slammed in the walls behind their targets and caused another rumble of exploding munitions. The two prepared to send another blast of power at one another.

They again unleashed their elemental attacks, but this time the two magical blasts hit each other. This in turn created a massive fire storm of unparalleled fury. A giant hurricane formed in side the room complete with lighting strikes, rain, hair, wind, and a few flaming tornados. Any normal person would have been killed instantly, but as long as DarkTan and Ulidam kept their swords with them, the storm could not harm them; both of the fighters put away their swords, keeping Haldarn out. DarkTan rushed Ulidam, who like wise rushed DarkTan and they were stuck in an unimaginable paradox. They both stood with their version of Haldarn at each other throats and drew their shotguns and placed them at each other heads. “Now what?” They both said, as the storm began to die down.

Suddenly the door was kicked open and Snow walked in, “Shoot him!” DarkTan and Ulidam yelled, "Not me, him!”

“Give me a break,” Snow said, “How about I let you two sort it out?” And he turned around and left.

Tohya and Nightwalker

“Ok, Arianna should be around here somewhere,” Tohya said to Nightwalker as they turned down a long corridor.

:Who’s there?!: The two suddenly heard in side their heads, :I know you’re not M$, so who are you?:

“Telepath,” Nightwalker said, then thought, :Nightwalker and Tohya of the Church of Miho. Are you Arianna?:

:Yes!: came the reply, :You mean that we’re finally going to get out of here?:

:What cell are you in?: Tohya asked.

:Cell twenty-seven:

:Were on our way: Nightwalker replied and he and Tohya began to walk down the hallway, “twenty-three, twenty-four, twenty-five, twenty-six, twenty-seven.” They stopped and Tohya banged on the door.

“Is that you?” Arianna asked through the food slot.

“Yeah,” Tohya replied.

“Stand back and to the side,” Nightwalker said as he raised one of the Shock rifles, “Ready?” Arianna said that she was and Nightwalker fired the primary beam, blowing a hole through the door big enough for some one to crawl out of.

Arianna crawled out of her cell, her shirt and pants were torn enough to cause Nightwalker to blush and her hair was in much the same state as Tohya’s was. Tohya used the same spell as before and transformed Arianna’s clothes into a new t-shirt bearing a picture of Mario on it and black jeans with boots, “Thanks,” Arianna replied.

“No prob,” Tohya said as Nightwalker handed her one of the shock rifles.

“Ding!”

The three turned around and leveled their weapons at the elevator door at the end of the hall. The door opened and Nightwalker used the secondary firing mode of the shock rifle, after the burning ball of plasma was near to its destination, he fired the primary mode. The blue laser reached the ball of plasma in the blink of an eye, and penetrated to the core of the plasma, setting of a chain reaction which created a large explosion and then folded in on itself leaving a tiny black hole that sucked in all the debris created from the blast. The room then filled with weapons fire coming out of the elevator. Trigun, buck shot, M16 rounds and fire balls came from one side; while 9mm rounds and shock rifle fire came from the other.

“Stop firing!” came the voice of a man from within the elevator.

“Is that…” Nightwalker started.

“It can’t be,” Tohya replied, “Dreagos?” she asked the man in the elevator.

“Tohya?” came the voice of a woman.

“Shadow?” Tohya replied.

Shadowdancer came running out the elevator car and she and Tohya embraced. Shadowdancer could feel a great power come from her, “You don’t have it, do you?”

“Yep,” Tohya replied.

Gorion, Nix and Dreagos exited the car as well; while the later two spoke with Nightwalker and Tohya, Gorion went straight to his sister, “Ari,” he said as he embraced her.

“I missed you too big bro,” she replied and returned his hug, “Now let’s get the heck outta here.” Gorion nodded his head and the group re entered the car.

Dreagos began to talk on his comm-link, “Found three prisoners, Kimiko,” he said.

“Great, I’ll talk to them later, meet me on the tenth floor,” Kimiko replied,”I’ll met you at the elevator.”

Durden(s)

The ten Mini Durdens had stopped at the opposite side of the 12th floor as the others and had found another prisoner trying to escape. Derian Hatcher, everyone called him Hatch, was a former hockey player and former leader of the Kimiko Army. After his capture and the removal of the Main Character rule, Kimiko took over for him. He was still in good shape; his clothes and hair were dirty though, but not enough that he would really care. The one thing that he did care about though was far out of his reach.

One of the Durdens, however, was in reach of that very thing. It was Hatch’s hockey stick, the Kar`B`Nok. It was folded up and lying on a table next to a sleeping guard. Darden’s lack of intelligence when it comes to such matters was degraded by being split in ten, in short they decided to asked the guard for the hockey stick. “Hey you!” Yeah, Fatso!” Wake up!” Gimme the friggin stick!”

“What in the name of all that is good and holy is going on?!” The guard yelled in surprise to being attacked by ten mini teenagers.

“Give us the stick!” they all yelled at the same time.

The man screamed like a little girl and ran away, “Eeeeekk!!!”

“Well that didn’t work.” Shut up!” Yo momma!” Mt momma is yo momma!” “Oh yeah?!” Yeah!” And the fight was on.

Hatch was watching the entire spectacle as the 10 mini shape shifters began to fight and when thrown in to another, they would meld together until finally there was only one Durden left. He walked over to the table and picked up the stick and walked to the cell door.

“Your Hatch right?” Durden asked the man in the cell.

“Yep,” Hatch replied, “How’d you know me?”

“Kimiko told me,” Durden replied.

“The Idol is here?” Hatch asked, bewildered.

“Yep,” Durden said, “And after you break out you can see her.”

“Let’s go,” Hatch said. After a few minutes they were headed back to the elevator and to the tenth floor.

Kimiko/SAF Squad

They were all together; Kimiko, Durden, Tohya, Nightwalker, Hatch, Nix, Shadowdancer, Gorion, Arianna, and Dreagos had assembled in a conference room and Kimiko had turned on a computer and hooked it up to a projector. “This is what happened, why the Main Characters can be defeated and why M$ rules the world,” She hit a button on the key board and the screen came to life. The first thing to come up was a video:

“This is James Gates, son and clone of Bill Gates,” A man said, “I have found the c00l th!ng and have opened a portal through time using it. This allowed me to kill Asimov, leader of the CGCI and future leader of the Order of Rent-A-Zilla, thus stopping them from becoming a threat in the future. After stopping Wolf Dead from taking over my plan to change The Rules and doing so myself, change my self in to a Main Character, I am now ready to enter the realm of Author Space.

“Author Space is where the persona of every Author resides. I will be removing several Authors in hope that this will stop their characters from coming to life and will take the place of the Main Author, Fred Gallagher, himself; thus becoming the one true Author and will be able to change the rules at will. Creating and destroying life at my whim. I will be entering this portal and if I come back all is lost. But if I never return then you will know weather I was successful if M$ becomes the ruler of the world!” The camera changed to show James Gates entering a portal and then disappearing. Several news spots then followed with the anchors telling that someone had suddenly died for no apparent reason. Among those who died were: Lightsider, doctor for the UFL; Tohoru, Nurse in the UFL; Megan, Head Nurse of the UFL; Arram, Lieutenit of the YLF; Erden, cook for McDonalds; McFinigin, Head Scotsman in the KA; Manta, CoM; Hoturi, CoM, Irving, Bartender; and Ian Cadeuskun, Technomancer in EM.

“So Gates whacks a bunch of Authors, our authors could be dead for all we know, and takes on Fred?” Nightwalker asked, “How can we stop him if he’s in Author Space? We can’t go there.”

There was murmuring of agreement and a sense of defeat when Kimiko spoke up, “We will change the rules,” She said.

“What!?” Everyone yelled at once, “How?”

“There is one of us who can open a portal to the Nexus of All Realities. There was a data file about what some of us were before Gates took over. One of us was a cook in the Order of Rent-A-Zilla’s snack bar. On occasion they would cook a meal that turned extremely volatile and blew up, tearing a hole in the time space continuum,” Kimiko answered.

“Who?” everyone asked again.

“DarkTan.”

DarkTan vs. Ulidam: Part Two

Snow was still standing out side when a book came flying through and began to bang on the door to the room where DarkTan was fighting Ulidam. Snow watched in fascination as the book began to leave a large dent in the door and even greater surprise as the book ripped a hole in the door and entered. “Hmm, Guess the pen really is mightier that the sword,” Snow said as he examined the hole in the door.

Inside, DarkTan had been knocked over in the same way as Tohya had earlier. He picked up the book and suddenly felt his mind pulled away from his body. He looked around, he could still see his body fighting Ulidam but he could also see the others several floors up and half way across the complex. He gave the only intelligent response for such an occasion, “Huh?”

“You’re in the Astral Plane, DarkTan,” Fate told the confused vampire, “I need to tell you about the book you found. It is the Unspeakable Cooks, by von Sudden, the worst cook to ever exist; that is, besides you.”

“What?!” DarkTan yelled, “I can cook?”

“No, you can cook creatures of unparalleled horror,” Fate replied, “And with the power you can obtain by following one other recipe that is hidden in the book you can simply command them to exist and they will. The power of your swords will greatly increase and will be able to summon one creature akin to the elements in the blades. Now go!”

DarkTan suddenly found himself back fighting Ulidam, using one sword, Arcole, and holding the von Sudden book in his other hand. He was also winning the fight, the power of Arcole had increased immensely and Ulidam was unable to withstand it, even while using two swords against DarkTan’s one. DarkTan gave Ulidam a kick in the chest, sending him flying back into a wall.

“Now it ends!” DarkTan yelled. Arcole had created a small ocean in the room and there was water up to their knees, I say ocean because there were waves and if one looked down there, they would see fish and the like swimming several feet below them. The only place there was no water was around DarkTan, instead there was a small hurricane swirling around him. “Come forth!” he yelled and suddenly the air was filled by tentacles the width of oil drums and a giant squid arose from the false depth. The squid rushed at Ulidam catching him with an out stretched tentacle.

One could hear Ulidam screaming even after the Squid had already ripped him in half and ate him. The squid went back into the “ocean”, the waters abated, the hurricane left and Snow walked into the room, “Friggin’ A’ man! That r0x0rdz!”

“I think I can have some fun with this thing,” DarkTan said showing Snow the book, “Let’s catch up with the others.”

“Sure thing,” Snow said, “already talked to Kimiko and she need you. There on the tenth floor.” They left the area and headed for the nearest elevator.

10 Minutes Later In the Conference Room With the Others

“Ok so what do you need me for?” DarkTan asked.

“We need you to create a portal to the Nexus of All Realities,” Kimiko replied.

“And how am I supposed to do that?” DarkTan asked.

“Cook,” Kimiko said simply. Then it dawned on him, the book would have what he needed, he pulled it out of his pocket. “How did you get that?” Kimiko asked. “It came to me,” DarkTan replied, “Now just gimme a few minutes and I’ll be able to do this.”

15 Minutes Later

“Ok,” DarkTan began, “I need to guys you help me get the ingredients. Snow, Nix, and Shadow; you’re on weaponry and explosives. Dreagos, Gorion, and Ari; you’re on chemicals. “Nights and Tohya, you’re on bodies and robots. KA guys, find me some mech power units. Durden, find stuff that makes no sense. Got it?”

“Yeah,” Everyone said. Then Snow noticed something, “Where’s Alec?”

No one knew where he was, “Keep an eye out for either him or his body. This portal is top priority though,” Kimiko said. And every one but her and DarkTan went looking for ingredients. DarkTan went looking for a large pot.

Mech Repair Bay

Alec had finally found his clone, there was just one problem. He was on foot, the clone was in a mech.

To be concluded…

“Waaait a second!” DarkTan yelled. He had along with Snow, Durden and Tohya come to ask about putting “to be concluded” at the end of the third part of a three part series.

“What?” The author of the series asked them.

“How can you end the third part with out finishing it?” Durden asked.

“This is asinine,” Shadowdancer yelled.

“We just might revolt!” Snow yelled.

“I don’t see why this is a problem,” the author replied, “After all Jurassic Park 3 didn’t really end, and neither did Monty Python and the Holy Grail!”

“Hmmm, good point,” DarkTan said.

“We I guess that it’s aright,” Durden said, “I just hope Dr. Sligh likes it as much as you do!”

“Me too. Now get back to finding those ingredients!” The author said and then his the save button and got ready to leave.
