Vas'tion, the fallen Archangel.

The Fallen One bound to Sabin's mind as punishment so that he would forever be forced to watch someone doing good for the world and be powerless to stop it.

Has a massive superiority complex.

Ash alarmed Sabin greatly by overhearing him and thus learning of Vas'tion's existence.

History

Vas'tion, the Archangel, was one of the many who stayed loyal during the great rebellion. Only to be swayed internally by his own beliefs and later fall. After abandoning heaven he was chased down by the seraphim Zanrinelle. Sabin became a part of this battle and though use of the power of the demonslayer he smote Vas'tion and disabled him. Vas'tion was then bound to Sabin's mind while Zanrinelle was bound to Sabin's sword as punishment for previous transgressions. Her initial punishment was to track down and kill Vas'tion but in failing to do so she was given the alternative of being bound to a human.

Vas'tion's influence is said to have spurred the development of many of Sabin's talents with fire, being that his own element of choice is fire.

During Sabin's brief criminal trial during Operation Catalyst, his planned defense (before it was compromised by the Instigators) was that Vas'tion had been influencing his actions, and that now that Vas'tion was released, the guilty party was the demon and not Sabin himself.

Abilities

Vas'tion is known for being able to manipulate arcane energy and create flame at will. His flame has recently become true demonfire as he makes steps towards becoming a demon. As of yet he is still a fallen angel and as such has a great deal of his former power.

His skills with sorcery and magic are powerful, giving him a decided advantage against his former captor in all of their battles.

Apart from intelligence and magical skill Vas'tion is very difficult to harm. His body is nearly impossible to damage at all and only his own magics are truly suited to the task of bringing him harm.

In contracts with the underworld he has managed to procure several demonic abilities and weapons. Most notably a balor's flaming whip and the ability to create and control undead.
